proofofautoinsurance.jpgIn most states in the United States, there are laws regarding auto insurance and the provisions of which vary from one location to another. In most cases, auto insurance and the proof of such is an important document to have in any of the following cases; If you are stopped by an officer of the law and asked to produce such, you are involved in an accident, you get your car inspected and you register your vehicle or renew the same.

In any of these scenarios one must always be able to produce a proof-of-insurance which can come in the form of a card that states the insurance company, policy number and effectivity dates. Failure to do so can result in revocation/suspension of ones license or worse impounding of the vehicle in question when the driver failed to provide the said document. Auto insurance is mandatory for most states but there are states that require voluntary enrollment just as long as no problems arise.
